Ours is an age-old bond!

How meaningless would this world have been, without your soothing presence! In vain would have been my life minus your company! Words wouldn't suffice to appreciate all those instances where you were my only refuge!

Wondering who the second person being referred to here, is? ;) Let me not linger the suspense anymore and become a victim of all of your wraths! :)

I am indeed privileged to have been named after one of Almighty’s most incredible creations! I have absolutely no clue as to why my parents chose to give me such an honour but I am certainly indebted to them, for, knowingly or unknowingly the very name developed a  sense of obligation in me for Music :) (thank me for finally breaking the ice! :P)

I somehow feel, the connection between us exists since the time God finally decided to work on his long pending project – creation of humans! :) Music has this magnificent ability to play around with moods at any point of the day – during the presence of a bright wide upper curve on the lips or even during a dull lower curve phase.

There are various ways to judge a person – shoes, books, movies, outfit, etcetera. But when I am given the license to provide inputs, I would say, Music has this daring ability to present in a crystal clear mode, a person’s current temper and what she/he is going through right now. Or at least I tend to become so much vulnerable when earphones are plugged in! :)

To all the great Musicians, Composers, Lyricists, Artists, Singers and everyone involved in such an unbelievable creation – Life would have been totally pointless barring you! Every form of Music has a special aura around it. The moment it traverses through us, a distinct sense of happiness surrounds us – irrespective of the many struggles bumped upon during the day.

Every song in my playlist has an emotional feel attached to it. Some reminiscing college days, some heading way back to school days, some prompting even a mere train travel and so on :) Sounds filmy, but being a faithful Piscean, I do travel to a dream world occasionally, of course with earphones at the receiving end of my ear :P After a strenuous day, instead of cursing your boss or yourself for all the hassles encountered from dawn to dusk, get home, plug in your earpieces and lose yourself in the awesomatic heaven of Music!

Disclaimer: Don’t ever dare try playing your favourite songs on a loudspeaker at home. If you do, I ain't going to be responsible for all the swearwords you would confront, from the point of pressing the play button until you are forced to hard-press it back ;)

Nevertheless, some families are so full of musical blood that any and every song pleases them and it’s undeniably hard to convince them that there is another section in the human race that detests ‘headache-causing noises’ :P Fortunately or unfortunately I fall in the former bracket and it is extremely challenging to induce in me, an aversion towards any song or music (unless it is exceptionally awful ;))

All hail the Goddess of Music!! :D

Life's mantra of staying ever-young :)

SLEEP – zzzzz…!! The very name implores us to open our mouths and let out a biggg yawn! :D The most loved, treasured and adored form of exercise!! (Got carried away by the title didn’t you :P My trick to make my article readable ;)

I am sure this will keep you pondering as to why I chose this of all, when blogs are supposed to make you more inclined on reading them and not ALT+F4 the page and doze off. There is a robust reason that will reveal itself at the end of this article – if and only if you are awake to realize it :P

Now let me not get into the biological side of why we need a sound sleep and the likes. You would have had enough gyan about the 2 cycles of sleep . Getting straight to the point!! Sleep is something which we should never compromise for anything in life. We do and the next moment it has us repenting big time!! Believe me – been there done that ;) Nothing in this world should keep us soooo occupied from bonding with our pillow.

What is stopping us from getting a proper unfathomable sleep! A presentation at office the next day, a deliverable? Nobody remembers our presentations and performances at the death bed as Chetan Bhagat has perfectly pointed out! So this is ruled out. Family commitments? I am sure most of the families of sleep-deprived people falling under this category (especially wives) are accustomed to them sleeping late and rising early that they are expected to do the same everyday! The habit ought to be broken; dozing and rising has to be done as per body needs and not according to family needs! No excuse in this!! This one is ruled out too. Stress? Come on! No proper sleep leads to stress and tension the next day at work or at home, in turn affecting our sleep all over again. So it’s us depriving our body from its most important need - Sleep!

You know what!! This cherished form of workout is most lovable to all random beings inside our body called hormones! :) A tiny favor to them in the form of letting our body rest and allowing them to start their job, can work wonders on us! They keep looking vigilantly for our body to relax so that they can take out their tools and work on the project assigned to them! Why deprive them of their jobs unnecessarily! ;) And yeah most importantly, sleeping from 12am to 8am is never the same as sleeping from 10pm to 6am !! So, don’t think you can dodge by saying you got 8 hours of sleep. Next day at office is going to be the same again, dozing and falling on the desk! ;)
Sleep for how many ever hours your body needs to repair itself and stay healthy and ‘young’ for a long time or don’t sleep and get dirty eye bags under your eyes allowing your skin to loosen itself and look like older version of popeye at a very young age! The choice is yours :)

The jOy of riding a bike !!

Hello there...all wonderful people!! :) This is my very first blog and I hope I don't intrude the justice being done to Blogs by all great Bloggers!!

"The JOY of riding a bike".....why did I choose this of all great things that could've been pondered upon? Reason being, I love riding my bike and I am one of those, who are rightly criticized by random people often on road as, "two-wheeler-ists are the main cause for major bottlenecks on roads!!" :P (they are just jealous 'coz they are stuck in one of those hectic traffic jams and we traverse through every little space we get to somehow manage to catch the first position in the congestion!! ;)

I have an Activa-I (smaller and light-weighted version of the daddy Activa) and I can't help but admire its beauty everyday when I take it for a ride to my office. (Let's call it AI) Such a sweetheart - you want it to go in between 2 autos without being smashed, it does; you want it to keep running even when the petrol tank light glows bright red, it does (of course only until the petrol bunk); you want it to overtake a big fat lorry doing zig-zag salsa on road or a bus moving slower than a snail, it does with all caution of not hitting the giants.

Now this sweetheart of mine has only one drawback. It cannot fly :( How wonderful would it have been, if Wingardium Leviosa works on my bike :D

AI and me are the best of friends, for I can replay all good and bad things on my mind, when going on a ride with it and come to a conclusion - "this too shall pass away" (getting too philosophical ain't I :P)

A simple 20-minute ride with it refreshes and rejuvenates me. Don't ask how. I don't know, but it does :) My life's mantra - Feel on top of the world? Feel completely lost? Feel like tearing someone into pieces?.... just get onto AI, raise the accelerator (make sure the road is devoid of people having a bad habit of passing ruthless comments on the quality of two-wheeler-ists driving) and go for a lonnnngggg ride, of course with a helmet on :)
